Ferratas in the Dolomites – Our Passion and Expertise
We are experienced Via Ferrata enthusiasts and passionate explorers of the Dolomites. Our fascination with this unique form of climbing began long before we set foot on our first route. It took just one photograph in a book to spark our passion. The image, captured from the famous Figari ledge on the legendary Via delle Bocchette in the Brenta Group, ignited a desire to explore these breathtaking peaks ourselves.
Since then, we have climbed numerous classic routes using ropes and belay stations, but it was the Via Ferratas that truly captured our hearts. These iron paths provide access to places that most only dream of—standing atop Tofana di Rozes at sunset, traversing the terraces of Gruppo del Sella, or conquering the sheer walls of the Tomaselli Ferrata, only to be rewarded with panoramic vistas from the summit. The thrill, the challenge, and the beauty of these routes are unmatched.

A Life of Adventure
Our lives have always revolved around adventure. From horse riding, windsurfing, and sailing sport catamarans, to skiing, and climbing Alpine peaks—we fully immerse ourselves in every passion we pursue. In recent 15 years, we have spent countless months in the Dolomites, constantly exploring and seeking out the next exhilarating route.
At first, we relied on various guidebooks for our hikes and Ferrata crossings. Over time, we realized the need for a resource that not only provided technical details but also inspired others to embark on these journeys. And so, an idea was born—why not create our own?
Writing the Guidebook
What started as a dream quickly became a serious project. It was 2017. Researching, writing, photographing, mapping, verifying details in multiple languages—it was an immense undertaking. If we had known at the start how challenging it would be, we might have hesitated. But the joy of spending entire summers in the Dolomites, climbing together, and experiencing the region’s rich culture, cuisine, and wines made it all worthwhile.
The first part of our guidebook, published in Polish, was released in 2020 and received an award at a prestigious mountain festival. Since then, we have sold over 10,000 copies of our books. Our work was also recognized internationally, which motivated us to publish the guidebooks in other languages as e-books.

The guidebook also allowed us to pursue long-held dreams. Although we both graduated from the Gdańsk University of Technology, our true passions lay elsewhere. Lech, an avid history enthusiast, now immerses himself in research, exploring historical sources and sharing his knowledge through our writing. Kate, long drawn to photography, has embraced the craft—studying, practicing, and drawing inspiration from masters like Ansel Adams, Michael Kenna, and Annie Leibovitz.
